KYRGYZSTAN HIGHLIGHTS

• Horseriding. Even if your buddy Sam and you are very inexperienced horse riders you can still pretend to race each other at walking speed. He can encourage his horse by shouting ‘Come on Son of Satan’, while you go ‘Don’t let me down, Moonlight’.
• Cows, horses, donkeys, goats, and sheep: They are everywhere. On the fields, in the streams, on the roads (mainly at sunrise and sunset going home and away). Watch them drag anything on wheels, or being dragged by horns, one leg, two legs, or all four. How many fit in one animal
  market, or in the trunk of a Lada (although that still doesn’t beat the national eagle hunter champion getting his award winning eagle out the boot of his VW Golf).

• Cheap Vodka: I think I am on 21.
• Issyk-Kul lake: Meaning ‘warm lake’, don’t be fooled like I was. It just doesn’t freeze cause of the salt content. However, it is still warmer than dipping into a river that comes straight out of the mountains. That only seemed a good idea cause it had a 40C hot spring next to it.
